Artist in Residence Program
A program aimed at emerging and established artists who are developing a career in the arts.
Clarence Artist Projects (CAP)
The Grafton Regional Gallery Artist Cottage is a fully equipped studio apartment located in historic Prentice House. Clarence Valley artists will have the opportunity to undertake a two-week residency on site, with access to the GRG Art Studio. Applications will be made following an annual open call-out. Successful artists and creative practitioners will demonstrate a clear rationale for their stay. The residency may represent an opportunity to focus on the development of new work, research for a curatorial or creative project, or time out from work commitments to focus on artistic practice.
CAP Residencies will be subsidised through the provision of significantly reduced accommodation fees. Where possible, GRG will offer residencies without charge. Artists must supply all artmaking materials, catering, and travel requirements. Up to three (3) CAP Residencies may be provided per annum. Details coming soon.
