Biennial acquisitive art awards.
The Grafton Regional Gallery offers two biennial awards, the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA) and the Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Award (CVIAA), in alternating years. The winning works of both of these awards are acquired into the Gallery’s collection.
Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA)
Supported by The Friends of the Gallery, the JADA is Grafton Regional Gallery’s flagship art prize. Established in 1988 the JADA provides a wonderful opportunity for artists to explore the medium of drawing, while allowing the gallery to build on its unique and impressive collection of contemporary Australian drawings.
The 2018 JADA is on tour and will be on display at Griffith Regional Gallery, 17/1/20 - 17/2/20.
Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Award (CVIAA)
Launched in 2007 and sponsored by The Yulgilbar Foundation, the CVIAA is an acquisitive award supporting the development of contemporary Indigenous art of the Clarence Valley local Government Area.
