The Daily Examiner: Special Edition
Presenting a selection of photographs taken by Daily Examiner photographers documenting the life and events of the Clarence Valley during 2016.

Each year The Daily Examiner uses thousands of photographs to represent and accompany the many stories they report on. They reveal the photographers’ passion to document and capture the life and events across the Clarence Valley.
This exhibition held in partnership with The Daily Examiner showcases a selection of these thousands of images that chronicle a year in the life of the Clarence Valley and bring the faces and tales of the Clarence Valley to the gallery setting.
The photographers whose work is featured in DEX: Special Edition include Adam Hourigan, Debrah Novak, Caitlan Charles, Matt Elkerton, Jarrad Potter, Tim Howard and Clair Morton.
The unifying feature of the photographs is that they feature people. Whether it’s an extraordinary event like a flood, an annual festival like the Maclean Highland Gathering or a one-off celebration in the life of someone in the Clarence Valley the photographers have presented the many stories through the experience of the people. In this way the fresh and innovative images capture the essence and mood of life in valley.
