2018 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA)
Finalists of the 2018 JADA have been announced.
The 2018 JADA attracted 498 entries from 371 artists across Australia, with the selection process being difficult given the calibre and number of entries received, ultimately 55 works were chosen.
The 2018 JADA selection panel comprised of:
Niomi Sands Director, Grafton Regional Gallery
Peter Wood CEO, Arts Northern Rivers
Cath Fogarty Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery Co-ordinator
Heather Brown President: Friends of the Grafton Gallery and Gallery Advisory Committee member
Bree Hiatt Chair: Gallery Advisory Committee
The exhibition will be offically opened on Friday 26 October from 6.30pm. The highlight of the opening will be the announcement of the winner of the $30,000 prize and acquired works by the Judge Anne Ryan Curator of Australian Prints, Drawings & Watercolours at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
The exhibition will be on display at Grafton Regional Gallery from Saturday 27 October to 9 December 2018 and will tour to the following Galleries throughout 2019 to mid 2020:
