The annual Soup Day presented by the Friends of the Gallery at 12noon Sunday 9 August at the Grafton Regional Gallery celebrates the 150 years since the City of Grafton was established.
A selection of the top restaurants in the Clarence Valley will be showcasing their culinary skills by producing a traditional soup from the mid 19th century.
For just $20 you will be able to sample all or some of the soups presented. So make up a table & bring your friends along. Ring the Gallery for bookings on 66423177.
Either the chefs or their representatives will be in attendance to serve you one. The delicious soups will be complemented by an array of homemade and specialty breads including gluten free ones.
The Gallery's cafe Georgie's will be closed for the day as the Friends take over the kitchen to present great coffee and cakes from 10am until 4pm with the Sesquicentenary Soups starting at 12noon.
This event is one of the major fundraisers for the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award, the premier drawing prize of the Grafton Regional Gallery.
Bookings essential for this very popular event can be made by contacting the Gallery on 6642 3177 or calling in. Make a table of friends and relatives or come and join us for a great day.
